Why it works
Everee #2 contains Ovitage® the world’s most complete collagen derived from whole ovine skin and produced using a proprietary process that isolates all of the skin's important components, including structural proteins well beyond the collagen I and III common in traditional collagen products.
This functionality is boosted by nutrient dense sheep milk. The result is a protein powder rich in amino acids that provide the balance needed to manage stress and energy levels, maintain lean body mass and boost beauty from within.
Stress management
Studies directly show that increasing tyrosine through short term or long term protein ingestion raises brain tyrosine levels and boosts dopamine (and other catecholamine) production, specifically targeted at actively firing neurons (1). With substantially higher tyrosine than traditional collagen, the Ovitage® in Everee #2 provides the key building blocks for dopamine production and so for stress and mood control.
The metabolic pathways of glutathione and taurine are known as essential for combating acute and chronic tissue stress from physical exercise and due to emotional and environmental stressors (2, 3). The glutathione cycle is known to be more effected by exercise in females compared to males (4). Both pathways are dependent on the sulfur amino acid cysteine, and cystine-rich protein has been shown to improve the body’s ability to make and store glutathione (5) and respond to acute stress.
The Ovitage® in Everee #2 has substantially more cystine than traditional collagen and so helps the body combat acute and chronic stress and inflammation.
Muscle and bone support
Branched chain amino acids such as isoleucine, leucine and valine are essential for building and maintaining lean body mass (6) following exercise. The Ovitage® in Everee #2 provides approximately 3x more of these crucial amino acids than traditional collagen and as a result assists in developing lean muscle during training. In addition, high cystine proteins have demonstrated the ability to contribute further to lean body mass. A study of endurance cyclists showed substantial increase in lean body mass of their legs as a result of a high cystine protein diet, compared to the dairy protein control (7). Ovitage® in Everee #2 contains substantially higher cystine that conventional collagen and so supports this lean muscle development.
In addition to providing a richer source of calcium than conventional milk, clinical studies of the sheep milk in Everee #2 have also shown increase branched chain amino acid concentrations (including leucine, valine and isoleucine) in women consuming sheep milk (8). The combination in Everee #2 is well suited to support the development of lean body mass and support bone health.
Energy boost
Taurine is essential in energy metabolism and is the basis for the majority of energy drinks. Taurine metabolism requires high concentrations of cystine and the Ovitage® in Everee #2 uniquely provide this amino acid due to the novel process involved in extracting proteins from whole ovine skin. High cystine proteins have been shown to boost taurine levels (5) and so boost energy metabolism. The same study also showed a boost in glutathione, the master antioxidant in the cell responsible for overcoming fatigue arising from acute and chronic stress, including the physical stress associated with exercise. By boosting these two important pathways the Ovitage® in Everee #2 provides the body with the essential components to boost and maintain energy.
Beauty from within
Collagen IV is the junctional protein responsible for joining the layers of the skin together and acting in each hair follicle to anchor hair in the head. The cystine rich proteins in Everee #2 have been shown to increase collagen IV production in the skin and in the hair follicle and so improve skin firmness as well as follicle health to increase hair anchoring and reduce hair loss (9). Cystine is also the amino acid responsible for strong and healthy nails. Due to its source, the Ovitage® in Everee #2 has substantially greater amounts of cystine than any other collagen or common dietary protein sources such as whey or soy.
