Why a collagen business is going to tell you that collagen can’t do everything!
Aging is big business. Everywhere you look, there’s a new miracle cream, supplement or treatment promising to erase wrinkles, boost energy and “turn back the clock.” But here’s the thing, most of it is marketing spin designed to prey on women’s insecurities rather than genuinely help them.
And nowhere is this more apparent than in the conversation around perimenopause and menopause.
The truth about aging? Women deserve real education, science-backed insights and honest conversations about what’s happening to their bodies, not empty promises wrapped in pretty packaging. Because when you have the right information, you can make the best choices for your health, confidence, and quality of life.
Why Perimenopause is a Knowledge Gap
For something that happens to every single woman, menopause (and the years leading up to it) remains shockingly misunderstood. Many women enter peri-menopause, the stage before menopause when hormone levels begin fluctuating, without realising what’s happening.
Doctors often brush off symptoms. Media fixates on hot flushes while ignoring the bigger picture. And the wellness industry? It bombards women with quick fixes that rarely address the root of the issue.
So, what happens?
- Women suffer in silence, feeling exhausted, moody and unlike themselves.
- They fall for “anti-aging” gimmicks instead of getting real solutions.
- They don’t know what to ask for when they see a doctor.
The result? Too many women navigating this critical life stage without the right support, physically, emotionally or mentally.
Cutting Through the BS: What Women Really Need
Instead of empty promises, as women we need facts. We need to know:
- What’s actually happening in our bodies: fluctuating estrogen, cortisol spikes, metabolic shifts, muscle loss.
- Which lifestyle changes make a difference: nutrition, strength training, sleep optimisation and stress management.
- Which supplements and treatments are backed by science: because no, collagen powder alone isn’t going to “fix” menopause.
- How to advocate for ourselves in the doctor’s office: understanding HRT (hormone replacement therapy), holistic options and health red flags to watch for.
The Problem With “Anti-Aging” Hype
The term “anti-aging” itself is flawed. It makes women feel like aging is something to fight rather than embrace with strength and knowledge. The obsession with looking younger often overshadows the more important goal: feeling strong, capable and vibrant at every age.
Of course, taking care of your skin, hair, and overall appearance is great, but actual vitality comes from within. A well-nourished body, good mental health and an active lifestyle do more for longevity than any overpriced serum ever will.
Taking Back Control
Women in their 30s, 40s, and beyond deserve more than marketing gimmicks. They deserve education, empowerment and solutions that actually work. That starts with:
- Learning from experts who prioritise science over sales.
- Asking the right questions whether it’s about hormones, nutrition or exercise.
- Supporting brands and professionals who are transparent, and evidence based.
When people are informed, they make better choices. And better choices mean better health, better energy and better lives not just for today but for decades to come, and isn't that really the goal?
Aging isn’t the enemy. Misinformation on women's health is.

At age 76 I feel there is not enough information for our age group. We are done with the hot flushes and moody blues and just want to fly on ahead with the years we have left. I have just received your collagen product (and love the jar and scoop!!! Thank you!!) and when current supplies of another brand are finished I will be into it! What can I expect? When will this be available in capsule form to make travelling with it easier? Excited to be almost into this next journey.
